Story by Kaitlyn Burden
A once in a lifetime party is being held for the students and faculty of Rose State College. The Oscar Watch Party, which is hosted by Student Engagement, will be from 6-9 p.m. March 4 at the Innovation Station in Downtown Oklahoma City.
The Oscar event will kick off in a memorable fashion by picking up students from outside the Administration building in limousines. There will be three separate limos that will fit up to 15 people each. Group pickups will occur at 5:15 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 5:50 p.m. Students are also able to carpool with each other. If students choose this option, they will be provided with free parking. Once students arrive at the Innovation Station, there will be a red carpet and photoshoot area for the students to take pictures and walk the carpet like a celebrity.
Once everyone is inside and ready to continue on with the festivities, prizes will be awarded to students who attend the function dressed in their most unique and creative fashion. There will be several different categories for dress up, some of which are couples, crazy and formal. The prizes include movie packages and movie-themed prizes. The biggest prize will go to the person who can correctly guess the winners of the most Oscar categories.
The event will be catered, offering attendees hors d’oeuvres and mocktails. This event is free and open to all Rose State students, faculty and staff. For more information, contact the Student Engagement Office. Reserve a limousine spot here. Innovation State is located at 133 W Main St., #102, Oklahoma City, OK 73102.
